I have always viewed those Digital SLR cameras as incredibly complicated and far too fancy for a beginner like me.  Recently, I enrolled in a photography class and, not long after, realized it required the dreaded SLR camera! I instantly started to regret my impulsive decision, even contemplated dropping the class.  After hours of weighing my options (and seriously questioning my decision making skills), I decided this is a great opportunity to really learn something new, which is why I enrolled in this class in the first place! So, I went out in search of a user-friendly camera for an amateur like me....

Short story long, I decided on the Sony a33 Digital SLR camera.  This camera came recommended by several camera experts after I explained my slight phobia of this terrifying technology.  After testing a few others, I was sold on the a33.  The Sony a33 was moderately priced and extremely user friendly.  Among its cool features are such modes as 3D Sweep Panoramic mode, Night Shot mode, and Multiple Frame mode.  The 3D panoramic mode is fantastic for landscapes and cityscapes - and the 3D actually works and makes the picture really pop!  This is also one of few DSLR cameras that has the full HD video with automatic focus.  I thought that would be an unnecessary feature, but I use it all the time.  Not having to worry about the focus of each frame is very handy.  The a33 has a built-in pop-up flash, so you do not need to worry about purchasing a separate flash right away.  I could go on and on....

I highly recommend this camera.  It is very easy to use, with or without previous experience, and takes amazing pictures in any mode.  You will truly enjoy this purchase!

Every Kitchen Needs a Ninja!

I must admit, I am a sucker for infomercials.  They suck you in with these catchy phrases and cheesy testimonials.  Suddenly, you start to think you NEED this device and wonder how you ever got along without it! Needless to say, I have made a few ridiculous purchases after an infomercial caught my eye while channel surfing -  The Babycakes Cupcake maker, which is really just a waffle iron with larger holes; the One Touch Can Opener, probably my laziest purchase yet; and the S'More maker that is still in the box! 

Well, the Ninja Master Prep System surprised the hell out of me!  I saw this bad boy out of the corner of my eye one night while switching between Basketball Wives and The Good Wife.  I thought, "This is a bad idea, don't do it," but I couldn't resist - and I am so glad I didn't!  The Ninja is a genius in the kitchen. It comes with 4 separate appliances, the Ninja Chop, Ninja Mix, Ninja Blend, and Ninja Juice.  This machine blends, chops and mixes with such ease, it makes it fun to use.  What really separates this product from the rest is the blade. The blade actually attaches from the top, as opposed to the bottom, and is as long as the container itself.  Because the blade continues from the lid all the way down to the bottom of the container, it mixes, chops and blends every single thing you put in there - and I mean everything!  The blade is also removable and easy to clean.  All of these products are dishwasher safe, so it saves you some time in the cleaning department, which I think we can all appreciate. Whether you are in the mood for a snow cone, smoothie, some chopped stir fry veggies, or even cookie dough, the Ninja can do it all!
